Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to the Kingdom of Thailand
on the 215th Anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Chile,

On the auspicious occasion of the celebration of the 215th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Chile, I am glad to reaffirm the friendly and strong relations that exist between Chile and the Kingdom of Thailand.
Both countries are joined by a pioneering Free Trade Agreement, which for a decade has been successful in expanding our economic links. We are partners in APEC and work together to find new opportunities across the Pacific. Chile has been a Development Partner of ASEAN for the last six years and looks forward to deepening further its links with a region that is also a priority for Thailand’s foreign policy. Chile wants to further expand its interaction with the region by seeking membership in RCEP and promoting stronger links between Thailand and the Pacific Alliance.
May the links between Thailand and Chile grow stronger every day through our joint commitment to sustainability, clean and healthy oceans, energy transition, the promotion of peace and global stability to dynamic trade and the enjoyment of our natural wonders, foods, wine, culture and the arts.
